Barcelona Smith is properly prudent. He takes no chances in life. He never walks out the door without his crash helmet, safety goggles, life vest, steel-toe boots, insulated gloves and umbrella. He avoids such dangers as roses (they have thorns), pets (they have germs), monkey bars (!), and even smiling (flying insects in teeth). His life is safe but unexciting until one day, Barcelona's stiff, towering hair breaks loose and takes him on a wild adventure.
